More Horror Realm Stuff!

Hey All,

As the blog continues undergoing its overhaul and I get my new webzine prepared for launch in April, here are some more photos and video from my weekend at Horror Realm Con.
There is still more video to come and I will give you a full update on what I have going on over here.

But in the meantime, enjoy more interviews, footage, and photos from this awesome convention:

I had a chance to catch up with author, Gary Lee Vincent. We chatted about his new projects and his popular Darkened series (also check out the interview I did with him for this blog at around this same time last year).

Check out more of his projects at his Official Website and the official Darkened Hills website.

And in this video, I take a break from sitting at my table and wander the convention a little. I stopped at the Postmortem Press table, some of my favorite people. Unfortunately, my camera's batteries decided to die just as our conversation was taking some interesting turns, but I'm sure you get the picture. :D

Above are Tom Leturgey and the KSWA Wrestling Table.

And here is the lovely Alayna and her jewelry line, Crystal Bawl. I did get a rather nifty skeleton hand bracelet off of her. :)

So as I said in the last post, check all these guys out and there will be much more soon. :)

This Blog Undergoing An Overhaul and New Webzine

Hey all,

With some recent changes (and additions) taking place, this blog will be undergoing a bit of an overhaul, though I will try to get back to blogging regularly asap.

Among my other projects, I am relaunching my old webzine, though taking it in a different direction in April.

With spring just around the corner, the weather has been quite lovely. So much, that I've been inspired to start taking photos of some old architecture around the area I live in. While doing this, I started getting more ideas churning inside my brain.
See, anytime I explore an old building or anything that has existed long before my time, I often find myself wondering about the history and many stories and events it had probably endure during its lifespan. Not only is this observation relevant to a book anthology I'm a part of (I'll get more into that in a future message), but also the new journey I'm embarking on with my webzine.
When I started my webzine, Music's Underworld, I wanted to of course promote underground musicians. That soon expanded to filmmakers, authors, etc. But then I revamped my official blog, which was getting lots of readership. Therefore, I started promoting these artists more on this blog and I became a little uninspired with the webzine. I didn't want to completely abandon ship, but I was a little lost on a direction to take the 'zine in. Then, it hit me. I have been reading a lot of nonfiction books covering old buildings, parks, cemeteries, etc and I was reminded of how one of the things I've always wanted to do was own a magazine of sorts that covered such content.
Is it a completely new and never done before idea? Obviously not. But is it one that I will have a lot of fun doing? A definite yes. And I will still feature filmmakers, authors and such, just in a SLIGHTLY different way than on my official blog. I plan to launch this in April and will bring more info then, along with doing a little reforming on this blog. :)

More to come and check out the $12.00 sale of the first two books in The Birthrite Series at my website:

Thanks all,
Tiffany

Descent Outtake/Deleted Scene and Other Fun Stuff

Hey all,

Well, just when I think things are starting to slow down, it gets crazier (a good kind of crazy). But being busy is a good thing. The only unfortunate thing about that is that it takes away from my blogging.

BUT, to remedy that, I will leave you an outtake or deleted scene from Descent (The Birthrite Series, #1) and a couple more character inspirations.

For the character Rebekah, her physical description was inspired by Aaliyah who unfortunately is no longer with us. But if she were and there was a Birthrite film series made to compliment the books, she would be my number 1 choice for Rebekah:

And as for Dmitri Alexandru's sister (and Anton Alexandru's daughter) Lucinda (who is just as vile and wretched as her brother and father), well...who better to serve as inspiration than Kim Kardashian?

(Now if only she could act...because as far as Lucinda's personality goes, Juliet Landau's performance as Drusilla in Buffy the Vampire Slayer is ideal)

Now for the deleted scene. I will warn that for those who have not read Descent yet, these outtakes MIGHT contain spoilers. Which is why I have it after a jump.

Descent (The Birthrite Series, #1) and Sacred Atonement: A Novelette (The Birthrite Series, #1.5) and Made in Heaven: A Birthrite Series Short are all available at Smashwords, Barnes & Noble NOOK, Amazon, and iTunes.

Paperback copies (that do come signed and even personalized if you wish) are available at my official website, with both books (MADE IN HEAVEN is at the end of the SACRED ATONEMENT paperback copy) available for only $12.00 until April 9th.

Now, enjoy a deleted scene from Descent after the jump.

"I'm Offended"

Hey all,

I have spoken briefly on our ever-growing culture of "I'm Offended" and there seems to be one incident after another as of late (I won't point out specifics, but if you pay attention even on social media feeds, you have probably also noticed).

Since I'm trying to get the next Vixen recap together along with photo and video footage from my weekend at Horror Realm, I'm not going to do a whole post on it this time around (but I do have one a-brewin'). Instead, I'm going to leave you with this awesome post from Anne R. Allen's blog:

Anne R. Allen on Artistic Freedom

And since I'm on a Bart Baker kick, enjoy another video parody of his:

I am also ordering more paperbacks of Descent and Sacred Atonement and possibly extending the $12.00 sale. I'll keep everyone posted. :)

Hey all,

I know I owe you another Vixen recap, but here are some of the first photos from Horror Realm this passed weekend.
It was a blast and I sold out of my first batch of Descent and Sacred Atonement copies! I'll be ordering more soon.

More pics and video will follow, and I WILL be finishing the next Vixen recap that I have in queue (just needs finished...sorry for the delay!).

THE BIRTHRITE SERIES $12.00 PAPERBACK SALE (AUTOGRAPHED)

3/8/15: *****TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK*****

Hey all,

As I said, the paperback copies of the first two books in the series, Descent and Sacred Atonement are now in my possession.

From March 6 through April 9, you can purchase the novel, Descent (The Birthrite Series, #1) for the low price of $12.00 and I'll throw in the novelette, Sacred Atonement for free.

Of course, I will have them at Horror Realm Con this weekend, but if you purchase online, $5.00 shipping will also apply.

Descent and Sacred Atonement Autographed Paperbacks

Of course, the copies will come autographed too!

And for those who come for my book recaps (namely Vixen), I will try to finish getting the next one up as soon as possible. Between not feeling well this passed week, editing a book for someone else, getting ready for Horror Realm, and having a severe case of "poo brain" I know I've been slacking. But I will try and get back on track with it asap.

If you can make it out to Horror Realm this weekend, I would love to see you so stop by and say hello! And the $12.00 book sale will apply. :)

Paperback Copies of Descent and Sacred Atonement are Here!

The paperback copies of Descent and Sacred Atonement did arrive this afternoon! They are glorious! :D
I'll go into the $12.00 sale (which will apply at Horror Realm Con this weekend) a little more tomorrow. But for now, here is a photo. :)

And since I'm feeling slightly under the weather today, it's vitamin C and a pillow for me right now (as I try to not get sick for this weekend).

Night all.
